Developed for the World Cup, also made for your downhill route: Together with world-class riders, Ergon has created the ideal saddle for modern DH racing. The requirements of the top riders were uncompromising: super compact with maximum tire clearance, perfect gliding zones, all-round 360-degree padding for optimal protection and best leg guidance. The Ergon SM Downhill has all that – and more: The design naturally follows the sloping, DH-typical saddle alignment. And for the uphill with the tow lift, we have comfortably padded the seat.

MINIMALIST COMPACT – Full control and freedom of movement ~ In tough terrain and with jumps, full freedom of movement is the be-all and end-all. That's why we designed the SM Downhill to be minimalistic and compact (23.6 x 12 cm) and raised control, speed and safety to a new level.

360° PADDING – Edge pads aid bike control ~ The SM Downhill's 360-degree edge padding supports the best possible leg guidance for steering the bike and provides maximum protection. Unpleasant injuries on the inside of the legs are reduced by the padding.

WELL PADDED – Comfort for seat passages and lift ~ Although racers rarely take a seat on the SM Downhill: We have padded the surface comfortably so that you have the necessary comfort in short sitting passages and in the lift.

MAXIMUM TIRE CLEARANCE – Also ideal for small 29er frames ~ The rear of the SM Downhill is particularly short and flat to give the tire enough space when the rear triangle is fully compressed. Even with small 29er frames and low saddle positions, there is no contact with the tire thanks to the cut-out.

REALLY NICE CROOKED – Strong in the air ~ The entire surface design is consistently adapted to the sloping orientation of a downhill saddle. Always downhill is the motto here - for steering in steep, technical terrain and in the air.

ALWAYS FITS – One size for all downhill adventures ~ One size fits all: The SM Downhill is different from all other Ergon saddles. Since it is not made to sit, but to perfectly control the bike on the race track and in the air, different widths or gender-specific cut-outs are not required.
